What is Face Yoga?
Just like your body, your face needs regular movement to stay toned, vibrant, and healthy. Face Yoga is more than a workout—it’s a lifestyle and a journey of self-discovery.
This natural practice blends breathwork, posture awareness, massage, acupressure, and targeted facial exercises to relax overworked muscles, lift sagging areas, and soften lines. It boosts lymphatic flow, circulation, and energy—bringing more oxygen and nutrients to your skin for a radiant, youthful glow.
Face Yoga also helps you become more aware of daily habits, facial expressions, and posture that may unknowingly contribute to premature aging or facial asymmetry. The result? Brighter skin, balanced features, and a deeper sense of wellbeing and confidence—from the inside out.
There are 57 muscles in the face, head and neck including the ears and tongue. The main function of the face muscles is to give us the ability to make facial expressions.
If we don't use our muscles, we will lose them.
Skin is closely connected to the muscle. Aand it will always follow the muscle. So, if the muscle is tense and shorter, we see wrinkles. This happens because of repetitive muscle activity as we smile, eat, frown or do any other movement. Then, there is also the gravity which pulls everything downwards. No wonder we see lines, droopiness and puffiness.

FAQS
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
Yes, it is for all ages, it is for women and men. Everybody can practice.
-
It depends on your age, lifestyle, your habits. The results on the face are much more subtle and appear slowly over time. Some people see it after two weeks, others need more time to see results. But to make sure you are making a progress, it is necessary to take some before and after pictures and track progress weekly.
-
If you want to see good results, ideally practice twice a day. First thing in the morning and right before you go to bed. Practicing Face Yoga in the morning wakes up the muscles and can help to break bad facial habits. Practicing in the evening helps to reset the muscles and mind and relax you before you go to sleep. You can practice some of the poses while driving, cooking, watching TV, or even in the shower! The key is to try to make it a daily habit and become second nature just like eating or brushing your tooth every day!
-
Book a lesson with me to learn the techniques. There are lots of YOUTUBE videos, but it helps if you train with an expert who can make sure that you are doing the techniques correctly.
-
Consistency is key to practice Face Yoga every day to see the results. Some of my clients are often surprised at how rejuvenated they look even after one class.
-
No. Some people really think that, but that is not the case. To make sure that you are using the right muscles and moving them correctly, practice in front of the mirror. Moving the muscles the right way can actually prevent and reduce wrinkles.
-
No, you don't. But make sure you are doing them every day for at least 5 minutes, and stay focused on the area you would like to improve. Eg. Forehead, Eyes, Cheeks area etc. If you have a specific area that you are concerned about, you should spend more time practicing specific poses just for that area. Once you have reached your desired results, you should not stop with practicing, otherwise, you will get there where you just started. The same theory applies to your body, you need to eat daily to stay healthy.
-
Start with baby steps and you will get there. We all need to learn to walk. Somebody needs more time. In the beginning, your muscles can be asleep, you need to wake them up. That needs some patience and time. Just keep practicing. Don't lose your focus and your goal.
-
By choosing the area you are considered about you can choose which poses fits you the most. However, just like daily body training, using all the muscles on your face will bring better results. The poses that don't like that much are maybe those that you need to see as a challenge. Each pose takes different time. Some take 5 seconds, other 20 seconds.
-
Yes it is. After doing any other sport it is normal to feel discomfort or pain. You are stimulating the muscles you never even knew existed. Build the exercises slowly and gradually increase the resistance on a frequency of the exercise.
-
Yes, you can. It can be always combined with other facial treatments. But you should remember that Botox blocks that firing and keeps the muscle from moving. The injected muscle can no longer contract, which causes the wrinkles to relax and soften. That can be challenging for you while practicing. Before you start you should always make your face hydrated. If you feel any discomfort you should stop immediately and you should consider your physician.
-
Yes. In fact, your family is a great example of how you should look like in the future. You can prevent the problem before it manifest. Observe there appearance, and start working on the area you would like to change. they can actually inspire you to work on yourself.
-
Try to drink hot water with a slice of lemon which is easier to drink. Water flushes out wastes and toxins from your body, so it helps your skin become clearer and more hydrated. Hot water is not only easier to drink but also better for your skin. Imagine washing an oily dish with hot water, hot water removes oi8l from the dish easier than cold water. Same theory applies to our body.
-
